Book reviews

WOW!!! Kids have first time review any book and write it in a particular format , they enjoyed and I enjoyed too , while reading their views and recommendations :) , they ask others to read their books ,  some of them ask more review pattern's sheet and issue books from our library corner - that's a big achievement for me - Alhamdulillah

Activity 1 - making words from a big lengthy word

It was the activity that most of the members have known already , As there are mixed age  group in my club so every one came up with words according to their age . I encourage every one , those who write  ON / AT / IN  and also who made 4 or 5 letter word . My comments and  appreciation help  young ones to make some lengthy words too. All of them  were asked to make some more words from two more given words at their homes.

Activity 2 - Think Box / Action Box

Two boxes were made, a Think Box contains different instructions on small papers like - think about any famous building - think about famous leader etc and an Action Box has instructions like - Act like a Doctor - Act like a Golf Player etc .

Member who catch the ball , asked to choose Think Box or an Action Box and act according to the instruction  , drawn from the specific box  , all others have to guess the right answer.
I conclude the bright side of this activity as "

- Every one has the chance to choose .
- For children age (8-10) it was easy to perform some action silently rather than to play KASOTI
- A fun element was included by catching the ball , and I intentionally throw it a bit high :)

Activity 3 - Tic - Tac - Toe

A very enjoyable activity , that focuses on

- Quick Decisions
- Time management
- Team Coordination

Reading Activities for Children at home or in school

About the Post: During my professional Teaching Training course we are asked to conduct different activities of Pre-reading / reading and Pre-writing / writing to children , as I was doing this course for my children so it was the right time to implement all my learning and techniques on my child named Saadi who is 5 years old . We have to answer "What" , "Why" and "How" about the specific activity that we are going to conduct and also mention the level or age group of child that can do this activity with ease and in the last we have to share our reflections.  I am sharing my assignment on my blog so that other can get help too. especially ECE teachers and mothers of Prep classes. Here is the first part which is Pre-reading and reading activities Activity : Word building through phonics drills: what why how level Use letter’s sounds to form a word * to be able to read *can form different words *differentiate among mean
